1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Meddy, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Meddy is a personal health management app for iOS that allows you to organize health information for yourself and your family. Features include:

• Family member profiles with photos
• Medical records with body part categorization, tags, photos, document attachments, and PDF export
• Appointment tracking with optional sync to Apple Calendar and configurable reminders
• Health metrics tracking (custom metric types and entries)
• A Home Screen and Lock Screen widget displaying upcoming appointments
• iCloud sync across your personal devices

3. Free Tier and Subscription

Meddy is free to download. Free users may manage one (1) family member and view the calendar and metrics list.

The following features require a Meddy Premium subscription:

• Adding a second or additional family members
• Creating, viewing, or editing medical records
• Exporting records as PDF
• Creating or editing appointments
• Creating or editing health metric types and entries
• Managing custom Body Parts and Tags

Subscriptions are available on a monthly or yearly basis and are managed through Apple's App Store. Subscription management, billing, and entitlement validation are handled by RevenueCat. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Prices are displayed in your local currency at time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

4. Data Storage and Privacy

All health data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit technology. We do not operate servers that receive or store your medical information. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

5. Permissions

To enable its features, Meddy may request access to:

• Apple Calendar — to create and manage appointments you explicitly add through the app
• Camera and Photo Library — to attach photos to profiles and medical records
• Notifications — to deliver appointment reminders you schedule
• Face ID / Touch ID — to optionally secure access to the app

These permissions are optional. You may deny or revoke them in device Settings without losing your stored data.

6. Medical Disclaimer

Meddy is a personal record-keeping tool, not a medical device, clinical system, or substitute for professional medical advice. Nothing in the app constitutes a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or medical opinion. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions. Emergency situations require immediate professional medical attention. We are not liable for any health outcomes arising from use of the app.

7. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Apple ID and device
• The accuracy of information you enter
• Ensuring the app is used in compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction
• Keeping device backups to protect against data loss

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Use the app for commercial medical record management
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app
• Share your Apple ID or device access with unauthorized persons
• Interfere with the app's security features
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable law or could harm others

9. Intellectual Property

Meddy and its original content, design, and code are the property of the developer and protected by copyright law. The app name, logo, and assets may not be reproduced without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Meddy, including data loss due to iCloud service interruption, Apple ID access issues, or third-party service failures (iCloud, App Store, RevenueCat). We are not responsible for network connectivity issues or any medical outcomes. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the lesser of (a) three United States dollars (USD $3.00) or (b) the amount you paid for the App in the one (1) month preceding the claim.

11. Data Backup and Recovery

Because data is stored in iCloud, continuity depends on your iCloud account and Apple's services. We strongly recommend periodically exporting records as PDF as an offline backup. We cannot recover data lost due to accidental deletion, insufficient iCloud storage, or iCloud account issues.

12. App Updates and Changes

We may update the app and these terms at any time, including changing subscription pricing with advance notice. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using Meddy at any time by deleting it from your devices. Deleting the app does not automatically delete iCloud data; see your iCloud settings to manage stored app data.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
